Uploading your presentation

ICOS Science Conference 2024 is a fully hybrid event - you can deliver your presentation, attend sessions and ask questions all virtually. For this reason, the on-site AV team require the presentations in advance to ensure all sessions run smoothly. Therefore, all presenters are obliged to upload their presentation in advance. 

The deadline for uploading your presentation is 3rd September 2024, 23:59 CEST.

Abstract submitters have been sent a unique presentation upload link to the email account used to submit the abstract in Oxford Abstracts. If you cannot find this email, you can log into your Oxford Abstracts account and upload your presentation here: https://app.oxfordabstracts.com/stages/75818/submitter (scroll past the event information to find the presentation upload form).

Oral Instructions

ICOS Science Conference 2024 is a fully hybrid event. With this in mind, all presentation slides (both in-person and online) must be uploaded in the virtual conference platform in advance. 

  • Maximum speaking time per presenter: 15 minutes, followed by 3 minutes for questions (for plenary speakers 20 minutes, followed by 5 minutes for questions).
  • Presentations should be prepared in a widescreen format, with a 16:9 ratio.*
  • Supported file formats are
    • .ppt with embedded fonts**
    • .pptx with embedded fonts
    • .pdf.
  • File size: max. 10MB.
  • If you want to add videos/animation to your presentation, please make a separate file of them in .ppt format.

Poster Instructions

Detailed poster presentation instructions are available as a PDF file here.

ICOS Science Conference 2024 is a fully hybrid event. With this in mind, all poster presentations (both in-person and online) must be uploaded in the virtual conference platform in advance. 

To maximise the visibility of your work the online posters should be accompanied with a short pre-recorded video presentation (maximum length 2min). 

  • Posters should be prepared in a portrait fashion (this applies to both virtual and in-person participation).
  • For in-person participants: the size of the poster boards at the venue is 95cm x 180cm. We recommend you print your poster in portrait, size A0. Please print and bring the poster with you, in addition to uploading your digital copy 2 weeks before the Conference.
  • Please do not use too small a font size (no smaller than 12pt.) as these posters will be read from a computer screen or other digital device. Please test your poster in your own screen to make sure it is easily readable.
  • Supported file format is .pdf.
  • File size: max. 10MB.

Video presentation instructions:

  • Upload your 2 minute video presentation to a video hosting service, e.g. YouTube or Vimeo
  • Paste the URL to the video using the presentation upload link (our AV team cannot accept video files, they only accept URLs)
