Here you can find a list of the submitted session proposals for the ICOS Science Conference 2026. If you are interested in becoming a co-convener of a session listed here and if the convener has provided their contact information, you are welcome to contact them directly to suggest cooperation in that session. If you wish to make changes to your submitted session, please get in touch with the organising team on conference@icos-ri.eu
Please note that the conference can only facilitate a limited number of sessions. Thus, the organisers reserve the right to select, combine or merge similar sessions into larger themes when seen fit. Submissions will be considered on their scientific merits and the significance of their respective themes. If accepted, they will be incorporated into the final conference programme

The conference programme will include a wide variety of scientific as well as interdisciplinary sessions related to policy making, climate education and new instrument developments. As in the past years, the session themes and the scientific programme will be created by a programme committee consisting of top climate scientists.
The conference will also host a vendor area, which will offer the instrument manufacturers and other innovators the space to showcasing their products and interact with scientists. Questions related to vendor opportunities may be sent by email to conference@icos-ri.eu.

ICOS Science Conference 2026 to be held in Lund

We are pleased to announce that ICOS Science Conference 2026 will be held in Lund, Sweden. The conference will gather hundreds of greenhouse gas scientists in Lund city centre.
ICOS Science Conference, organised every second year by the ICOS community, is a global event open to scientists and other experts working in greenhouse gases and biogeochemical cycles. The conference itself will take place from Tuesday 15th until Thursday 17th September. On Monday 14th, there will be a voluntary icebreaker event, and on Friday 18th, there will be a possibility to participate in excursions to ICOS stations.
Lund is a lively university town in the south of Sweden. ICOS Science Conference 2026 will be organised in the city centre, in a historical student house AF-Borgen. As in previous years, there will be an online attendance option as well.
