The aim of the ICOS Ocean Thematic Centre (OTC) is to support the 20+ ICOS ocean stations to deliver the data that is needed to better quantify the oceans role in carbon cycling. OTC releases a community newsletter four times a year and the latest issue has just been published.
Some of the highlights in this newsletter include further development of the Integrated Ocean Carbon Observation System (IOCOS), station labelling and reference gas support, software updates and news from the ICOS Ocean Monitoring Station Assembly (MSA) meeting. The newsletter also includes a closer look at one of the ICOS ocean stations, a ship on a north Atlantic route, and the measurement set up onboard.
