Pre-conference checklist: Five things to do before ICOS Science Conference 2026

18 Aug 2026

It’s less than a month to go until ICOS Science Conference 2026! Whether you’re joining us at AF-Borgen, Lund, or online, now is a great time to make sure you’re prepared for the conference week.

1. Final moments for presenters to register!

All presenters - plenary, oral and poster presenters - must register by 25th August 2026. This is to ensure our conference programme is filled properly.

Non-presenting attendees can still register after this deadline.

2. Upload your presentation

ICOS Science Conference 2026 is a fully hybrid event - you can deliver your presentation, attend sessions and ask questions all virtually. For this reason, the on-site AV team require the presentations in advance to ensure all sessions run smoothly. Therefore, all presenters are obliged to upload their presentation in advance.

The deadline for uploading your plenary, oral and poster presentation is 4th September at 23:59 CEST.

3. Get familiar with the programme

The ICOS Science Conference 2026 programme is the biggest yet, consisting of 9 plenaries, 150 oral presentations and 373 poster presentations.

Already registered? Why not take the next step and...

4. Download and log into the conference app

Registered attendees will have received an email containing a link to access the conference app (subject line: ICOS Science Conference 2026 - Your personal app link). The conference app can be accessed through a desktop or mobile web browser, and is downloadable as an app on your smartphone.

Ahead of the conference week, the app can be used to build a personalised conference programme, made by marking individual presentations as favourites.

During the conference week, the conference app is where presentations will be livestreamed, and is used by participants to ask questions using the chat function.

5. Come to the icebreaker including pub quiz

Arriving in Lund before Tuesday 15th September? Come to our icebreaker event at AF-Borgen and collect your name badge early.

To celebrate the launch of the ICOS Community Hub, we are also organising an ICOS “Community Hub Quiz”! Compete in teams for a chance to win some unique ICOS merchandise.

Tuesday's poster presenters can also come and pin up their poster during the icebreaker event.

We look forward to welcoming you to ICOS Science Conference 2026!
