Monday 14th September 2026
Registration and Icebreaker event / “ICOS Community Hub Quiz”
Location: AF-Borgen (Sandgatan 2), Lund
Time: 17:00-19:00 CEST
Come collect your conference badge early, meet other Science Conference participants and get acquainted with the venue in advance during our ice-breaker event!
To celebrate the launch of the ICOS Community Hub, we will be arranging a “Community Hub Quiz” – test your knowledge of ICOS in teams and win some ICOS merch!
We hope as many attendees as possible can collect their badge early so as to ease congestion on Tuesday morning. If you have a poster presentation at the conference, it is also possible to hang your poster up during the icebreaker event.

Tuesday 15th September 2026
An evening of science and art
Location: Skissernas Museum (Finngatan 2), Lund
Time: 20:00-21:00 CEST (talks), dinner starting at 21:00 CEST
Capacity: Talks (100 persons), dinner (70 persons)
Cost: Oral programme free of charge, dinner price TBC
Join us for an exciting evening in the Skissernas Museum! The programme consists of three oral presentations from Session 33 under the theme “Science and arts: How to communicate science?” inside the Lund museum of artistic process and public art. After the talks it will be possible to have a vegetarian dinner in the museum. You can purchase a dinner ticket via the conference registration form.
The museum restaurant can accommodate a maximum of 70 guests. Purchasing a dinner ticket guarantees entry to the oral programme. Entry for those without a dinner ticket will be free of charge on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Tuesday 15th September 2026
“An Introduction to ICOS Oceans”
Location: TBD
Time: 19:00-21:00 CEST (tentative)
The ICOS Ocean community, comprising the Monitoring Station Assembly, which represents the individual stations, and the Ocean Thematic Centre which supports this group in its work, invites you to an evening reception of the Ocean community present in Lund, both those from ICOS and those not associated with ICOS.
The Ocean community plans a short introduction to ICOS Oceans followed by complimentary refreshments and reception for networking. If you are interested to learn more about the ICOS Ocean domain and network with the community, please express your interest to join the event in the conference registration form and you will be contacted for more event details later on. This event will be organised separately by the ICOS Ocean community.

Wednesday 16th September 2026
Conference dinner
Location: Restaurant Inspira, Scheelevägen 4,Lund
Time: 19:00-00:00 CEST
Capacity: 400 persons
Cost: 710 SEK
The conference dinner will be held at the Inspira restaurant which is located in Medicon Village, Lund, a roughly 20 min tram journey (including the walk at both ends) or a 30 min walk without a tram from the conference venue.
A three-course vegetarian dinner will be served - details on the menu will be shared later.
Note: Please make sure to add your dietary requirements to the registration form.

Discounted entry to Skissernas Museum
Throughout the conference week, ICOS Science Conference attendees can receive a 50% discount on general admission to the Skissernas Museum during opening hours (discount price 50 SEK). Just show your conference badge when buying your ticket.

NOTE: Dinner bookings in Lund
Please note that if you are planning to have dinner in a restaurant in Lund during the conference week outside the conference social programme, it is strongly encouraged to make table reservations in the desired restaurants in advance, especially for larger groups. Please note that in Sweden many restaurant kitchens close around 21:00 in the evening on weekdays, therefore it is advised to plan ahead.
