Applications open for ICOS Summer School in January 2027
The 9th ICOS Summer School - this time, a Winter School - takes place 18th-28th January 2027 in Hyytiälä, Finland.
ICOS Summer School gathers MSc students, PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers and staff from research stations to learn about the carbon cycle and climate change relevant to ICOS. The typical Summer School programme includes lectures on measurement techniques and practical work on data management and modelling.
Applications are now open for roughly 35 places. Deadline for applications is 31st July 2026.

About ICOS Summer School
Typically taking place in the idyllic surroundings of Hyytiälä Forest Station, ICOS Summer School combines practical work with lectures covering a breadth of scientific topics such as the climate system, chamber flux measurements, and modelling. ICOS Summer Schools are excellent opportunities to get to know researchers in the greenhouse gas observations field in the classroom and over evening activities like sauna and swimming.
