ICOS is now looking for a full-time Communications Trainee for summer 2020. You will be based in the Head Office in Kumpula, Helsinki, and report to the Head of Communications at ICOS.
Your role includes:
• Updating the website of ICOS, the ENVRI community platform and its mediawiki
• Supporting in creating and organizing an image bank for ICOS
• Creating content for various channels for ICOS and ENVRI community social media and participating in SoMe strategy creation
• Managing, structuring and storing of digital documents for ENVRI community
• Supporting event organisation and other tasks in the ICOS head office team
We expect from you:
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Systematic and organised ways of working and ability to tolerate also routine tasks
• Familiarity with using online systems; document management systems and web content management systems, e.g. Wordpress/Mediawiki
• Some experience and skills in producing content, such as text or pictures for websites and other channels
• Good knowledge of Word and PowerPoint, basic skills in image processing
• 2-3 years of studies in Communications Marketing or Media on a university or an applied university level
• As a person, you have a positive mindset, can-do -attitude and you feel comfortable working in English in an international environment. You are self-oriented and learn new things quickly, especially new digital tools
