ICOS Summer School 2023 in full swing

29 May 2023
Practical exercises in atmospheric transport modelling is part of the Summer School

This year from 25 May until 2 June we organise the already 6th ICOS Summer School, as always at the Helsinki University forest station SMEAR and ICOS supersite in Hyytiälä. 37 students and in total 13 teachers take part in the 8 day fully packed program that covers the climate system, carbon cycle, measurements in all ICOS domain, data management and (inverse) modeling at scales from global to leaf scale.

Next to hard work and a deep dive into theory and science there is also time for excursions and a relaxing evening program, with sauna and a dive in the fresh water of the lake for those that like that.

The Summer School is supported by the EYE-CLIMA project, INAR and ICOS ERIC
